About The Show

The Pro Haunt Show is the result of a last minute concept that was developed by the VFX Team and Gregson Studios when we learned that Transworld 2020 was cancelled due to Covid. Since we were all self quarantined and had limited resources we pulled together the cameras and equipment we had available and tossed together a quick set and streamed the show live on YouTube and Facebook.

The entire series was unscripted and we relied only on a basic outline for what to cover in each show. This version has been re-edited and has been broken down into shorter episodes since the original was a grueling marathon of fun and madness.

The Attack Line – Hagitha the Witch

Hagitha the Witch is always looking for yummy,…er, I mean adorable children that can fit in her soup pot, er, I mean play with her kitty. Yes, that’s it, her sweet, black kitty!

This Hagitha the Witch Attack Line Puppet comes dressed in a black, period costume with witch hat and all the amazing features as our Attack Line Puppets, including a 2X, gray hoodie/harness with fake, removable fist disguise so that your puppeteer looks like Hagitha just jumped on them and is riding them instead of a broom. You can choose which style of eyes you’d like for your witch puppet – Wicked or Mismatched. Comes with preloaded audio so she is ready to use out of the box when you receive her. About the Banshee Box – Ghost Illusion

We’ve been hiding a few tricks up our sleeve, now we unleash our First in a line of Illusion Boxes, The Banshee Box. Designed and created by VFX artist Doug Schaefer.

From this rustic wood box that looks empty, you can hear a music box playing along with whispers of a little girl that seems to ask “Why won’t you come and play with me?”. Once your audience is drawn closer to inspect – BOOM – you can Launch out the Screaming Light-up Banshee Face!

Great for queue entertainment or roaming characters, this completely portable prop has lights and sound powered by Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries (Batteries Included)

These Illusions come with a built in 100+ decibel Puppet Master Sound System™ to complete the effect. The Puppet Master Sound System™ triggers are located on the bottom of the box, for ease of operation. The sound system comes complete with 4 sound effects, is rechargeable, and lasts 6-10 hours on a single charge.

LED lights are powered by a separate rechargeable battery that lasts up to 8 hours on a charge.

There are no pneumatic cylinders, motors, or servos to maintain as the animation is all mechanical, which means less that can malfunction or break.

Bungee Heads

The Bungee Line is a very popular startle and scare product from VFX that was designed to be more pocketbook-friendly to those on a tight budget who don’t want to skimp on quality or scare factor.

Doug is the VFX bungee expert and provides some tips and tricks to proper operation and safety. He also gives us some back story to the Bungee Head concept.

More About Bungee Heads

The Bungee Prop Line is the brainchild of VFX artist Doug Schaefer, while sitting with his own severed head in his hands, he had the idea to add a bungee cord into the molding process so it could be tossed towards unsuspecting guests to give them a great startle.

These life-size, foam filled latex props weigh 2-3 lbs. and have an embedded bungee cord with multiple layers of reinforcement to help it last longer. Includes a heavy duty cord lock to adjust and secure the bungee to the user’s wrist.

Crate Creatures

Patrick Introduces us to Trixie the Baby Triceratops Dino Puppet, one of the more Family Friendly creations in the VFX product line up.

More About Trixie

This crate creature dinosaur is alive and well, and hungry. This T-rex was genetically developed deep in the bowels of RM Labs. Splicing together dinosaur and A few reptilian DNA strands, and injecting into a reptile egg, RM Labs was able to bring this once extinct creature back to life.
As the baby began to grow, and its teeth started to come in, a scientist realized a warning would be needed to prevent potential bite injuries. The baby T-Rex is playful at times, but it must always be remembered that it is still a carnivore, and can be dangerous near feeding time.

This sound system comes with a USB cable and easy to use software to allow you to upload up to four custom sound clips to the device. Load music, sound effects, voice-overs, whatever! Once you’ve loaded you sounds you can trigger them with the touch of a button which is easy to hide inside the puppet or prop. The Minion Effects System

The next in the electronics lineup is The Minion FX System. It’s sort of like The Puppet Master Sound System on Steroids… oh and it’s wireless!

Technical Info on the Minion FX System

The Minion FX System ™ is about one pound 4”x4”x2” box that puts out sound Over 104 decibels at about a 1 meter distance. That is louder than a chainsaw, not to mention a lot lighter in weight. Those specs are pretty impressive alone, add to that the capability to program about 5 minutes of high quality sounds, ANY sounds you want (up to 12, utilizing the hacker kit, not included with this kit) on two different channels, and the possibilities get even better, your most effective haunted house characters are not limited to whoever can carry and run with a chainsaw. Now add to that, a microphone and a six button wireless trigger (both included), and you are getting closer to what the Minion Actor Sound System™ can do, and each trigger has a different wireless address, so you can use two systems together with out triggering the wrong one. Then add the six button hacker kit (sold separately) with wireless transmitter so you can put triggers into an actor’s prop, and you’ve got a haunt attraction actors new favorite toy.

So now actors can walk through a crowd and have theme music playing wherever they go, and it will be heard. They can pre-record a speech they say hundreds of times each night and just lip-sync and save their voice. They can growl, howl or cackle all night long and not go horse. They can add horn noises to a creepy clown, or loud “caws” to the crow prop on the gravedigger’s shoulder, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
